About This Project
The innovative anaerobic digestion (AD) plant at this dairy farm is manufactured by EMG a company devoted to biogas plant design and construction. The biogas plant has an installed electrical power of 100 ekW/h electrical and a nominal thermal power of 136 kW/th. The digester operation will allow this dairy farm in Perry, New York, to produce electricity, heat and bedding for its animals, while using a renewable energy resource.
The 2G CHP plant consists of a 2G filius 106 with optimized MAN core engine in biogas configuration with an Electrical Power output of 100 ekW/h Single-Phase, 830 MW p.a. 2G Energy supplied the advanced equipment to be installed inside a dedicated engine room inside the biogas plant auxiliary building. 2G Energy Inc. also supplied the complete gas treatment, including cooler, dryer/dehumidification, re-heating, and the H2S removal system.
The controls and switchgear, including single phase utility interconnection are also part of 2G's scope of supply. Heat produced by the 2G CHP System will be recovered to maintain the temperature of the digester as well as to heat various farm buildings. The owners are increasing their annual income by selling electricity at an attractive rate.
