About This Project
NORESCO has commissioned a 2G avus 2000c unit with an output of 2MW in Northport, NY, located at Northport VA Medical Center. The end goal of this project is efficiency for their entire facility, which includes supplemental steam with preheating condensate, building heat, and hot water for specific locations. 2G is a dedicated partner with NORESCO to ensure facility resiliency, sustainability, and overall efficiency.
Application Benefits: The CHP system was implemented to provide the VA with a modern and reliable power system that would add resiliency and efficiency to the hospital. The steam generator is integrated into the existing steam system, providing an additional > 3000 lbs/hour of steam and preheating all boiler water through an economizer, further improving the facility's efficiency.
