About This Project
Kitsap County Public Works in Northern Washington State owns and operates several sewage treatment plants servicing Central Kitsap, Manchester, Suquamish and Kingston. The collection system includes 128 miles of sewer lines through the utility areas. There are 68 lift stations in the County collecting and pumping the waste water over hilly terrain to ultimately arrive at one of the treatment plants for processing. Each of the four treatment plants are unique in the way the waste flows into the facilities and is processed. A newly activated project addresses necessary repairs and rehabilitation of outdated and undersized sewage treatment equipment and also allows for the recovery of energy by capturing methane gas (biogas) for co-generation of heat and electricity. 2G Energy Inc. was selected to supply a biogas CHP plant, fully containerized in super silent configuration, equipped with a 2G patruus 250 utilizing an optimized MAN biogas engine rated 250 ekW/h Electrical Power (2,075 MW/h p.a.) and with a Thermal Power capacity of 322 kWh/th. 2G also supplied a variety of specific technology options selected by Kitsap County Public Works and their project engineers Brown & Caldwell. That includes the thermal heat distribution with advanced hydronic junction.
